Skateboards consist of several parts, including:

Deck: This is the main part of the skateboard, usually made of wood or composite materials, and is where the rider stands.

Trucks: These are the metal parts that attach the wheels to the deck and allow the rider to turn. They consist of a baseplate, hanger, kingpin, and bushings.

Wheels: These are usually made of polyurethane and come in various sizes and durometers (hardness levels).

Bearings: These are small metal components that fit inside the wheel, allowing it to spin freely on the axle.

Grip tape: This is a gritty, sandpaper-like material that is applied to the top of the deck, providing traction for the rider’s feet.

Hardware: These are the bolts and nuts that hold the trucks to the deck.

Some skateboarders may also customize their boards with additional parts such as riser pads, nose guards, and tail guards.
