This is a fantastic artistic skate boot with a tall heel height that puts the balance of the foot nicely on the ball of the foot and balancing well with the heel. The boot has the needed firmness and ankle support for a figure skating boot, and solid quality construction. The aluminum frame is light and strong, and the gray Bionic toe stop that comes with it Is in excellent position and slides nicely for spins or stopping on smooth floors/surfaces. The break-in time for the boot may be longer than softer boots (maybe 8 hours) but is well worth the price for a quality artistic boot. The wheel base of the aluminum frame is a little longer compared to the Sure Grip frames, making for wider turns, but the increased length also gives the skate a more stable/secure feel.
